I embrace teaching as an opportunity to inspire and empower the student to follow their creative passions and believe in their ability to succeed. By providing them the guidance and toolkits, I hope they can use it to further their design practices, inspire others, and make an impact in their communities. In all that I teach, I try to facilitate a classroom culture where students learn from each other, build ideas upon ideas, dare to ask tough questions, and work on complex challenges together. A collaborative, supportive, and respectful environment is a must. I see myself as a peer, facilitator, and social worker in a classroom where I observe, listen, connect, encourage, provide resources, and do my best to serve their needs.
